And it gets me every timeWell hello there. I apologise for the lack of updates on my seemingly "interesting" life, I thank you for being "kay-poh"(nosey) enough to stumble upon this site and for even bothering to read these lines. Assignments + presentations are over & I'm finally free from the clutches of year 2. It's now the dreadful wait for results to surface. But for now... PARTY (which actually stands for Plooking Athrough Rmy Twindow Yat-night-in-the-dark-because-someone-keeps-stealing-our-garbage-bin or just secretly staying home everyday and binge watching a bunch of drama series) x

12th MayEVERYTHING IS DUE ON THE 12th OF MAY. I sincerely apologise for the lack of photos and laggy updates. Trying to juggle 3 essays and a birthday party is really... beautiful. I just love waking up to a beautiful sunny day only to have to shove away all thoughts of rolling on my lawn while the sun kisses my (disgusting) pale skin. Forcing myself to get out of bed after scrolling through all forms of social media for about 30min (because procrastination) and then sticking to the routine:
Sit at table, open laptop, slowly but surely squeeze brain dry, get carried away for a little too long, tell myself I need to eat, eat, get carried away again, slap myself (mentally or physically. hey, whatever works y'know?) and then continue this till about 11/12-ish. Rinse & repeat. Beautiful innit? Photos above are from days I decided to actually gaf about my life. Celebrated our big 1, with an amazing meal that without a doubt was worth 50 Co-Op Student Meal Deals. Just a few days ago, I managed to catch Explosions in the Sky.. I vividly remember sitting in my old room - 14 year old me getting so confused, overwhelmed and teary eyed from all the crazy emotions my disgusting prepubescent body was feeling just by listening to that one track. That was it, I got hooked and made a promise myself then that I needed to see them live. Dreaming big, but fulfilling these dreams slowly but surely. Brilliant. WeekENDBeautiful end to the weekend. Late sushi lunch and crepes for dessert, followed by an impromptu walk on the beach just to soak up some Vitamin D. It's probably about time I started taking my essays seriously, but then again, I can't stop thinking about my birthday plans. Priorities priorities. x
MarinaFinally went down to Brighton Marina and braved England's very bipolar weather (which you can see from the first and last photos). It reminded me of Portsmouth, but it wasn't as nifty as I would've liked it to be. It wasn't very picturesque either (omg things just keep getting better!!), which surprised me, considering Brighton's natural beauty - a blend of old, new and in-betweens that seem so unfitting yet somewhat seem to find belonging. 1/2 of the weekend is gone, hopefully Sunday (fun-day) will be better? x
p.s.. I sense a theme going on... this... eerie optimism that I try to keep whenever I sign off, it's disgusting, Mirabelle, shut up. Rise & GrindGetting back to Uni after Easter.
It's back to looking forward to the weekends, dreading Monday's and ignoring the fact that "I'll do it tomorrow" is never a valid excuse. "Rise & Grind", something that I've been seeing quite often nowadays. I can never understand coffee & how people can taste hints of fruit or an oaky smokey flavour. (No, this is not where I go "until now..." because I'm not going to pretend I understand coffee one bit.) If you need a pick me up, I believe in slapping myself awake. It's more natural and less harmful to the body y'know? Then again, it depends on the intensity of your slap and your degree of masochism. Well, to each his own. x A lazy Sunday afternoon spent chowing down one of the most delicious Sunday roasts ever (imagine beef with the texture of cotton candy, and the crisp pork crackling seasoned with a herb called 'perfection') It was a gorgeous day out in town today and we decided to dine alfresco, soaking up as much sunlight as we possibly could before England decided to become England again. That's a wrap; Easter break's over and in a few hours time, we'll be back to the routined Uni student lifestyle. Brace yourselves. x

MirabelleI do not like green eggs & ham. That pudgy asian chick from around the corner that keeps licking her yogurt lid while giving you dirty pedo looks. ArchivesCategories |
